My fiancé and I are currently shopping for wedding photographers and none seem to be able to provide us with an easy way to view or share our photos. To be fair, we're of the millennial generation and we don't understand the concept of patience or what photograph paper is.
Many of our friends have married in the past year and the one thing they all complain about is the lack of ability to digitally share their high resolution wedding photos.
Many photographers are charged a fee to upload their images to a hosting Web site. They, in turn, give the username and password to their customers in order to view photos. That means if I want to show my friends pictures of our wedding, they will need to know the username and password, too. Not only that, but the Web site only stays online for a few months before it expires and all of our photos disappear. Of course photographers are entitled to protect their photographs, but I'm sure there are some who would love to share their photos more easily, while still regulating use.
That's where TappIn would be great for photographers. I'm a TappIn user— regularly sharing photos and music from my Mac to my HTC smartphone. I also share the same files online with my fiancé who has a PC and Apple iPhone. Our dream is to find a wedding photographer (or any photographer for that matter) who has a TappIn account like us and can share our future photographs in the high resolution they deserve. If photographers had their clients sign up for a free TappIn account, they could promote and share their images at the high quality level they deserve from virtually anywhere their customers take their cell phones or log onto the Internet.
